Orders & MOQ
Do you sell retail, or only wholesale?
Kora Banaras is a wholesale-only brand. We supply directly to retailers, boutiques, multi-designer stores, resellers, and private labels — we do not sell to individual end-customers. This keeps our pricing honest for our trade partners and protects your margins.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our MOQ starts at just 15 pieces per order. You can mix and match across fabric categories — organza, tussar, chanderi, and Banarasi silk — within the same order to reach the minimum.
Can I mix sarees and suits in one order?
Yes. The 15-piece MOQ is on total units, not per category. Feel free to build a balanced order across sarees and suit sets.
How do I place an order?
How do I get login access to the wholesale portal?
Portal access is invite-only. It’s something our team extends to retailers and customers who do regular business with us. Once we’ve worked together a few times, we’ll set you up with login credentials so you can browse and place orders directly.
Pricing & Margins
What kind of margin can I keep on Kora Banaras products?
Most of our retailers and boutique partners comfortably work with a 2x to 2.5x markup on our wholesale rates, and many price selectively higher on our premium Banarasi silk range. Our pricing is built to leave healthy room for retail-level margins after your overheads.
Do prices include GST?
All listed rates are exclusive of GST. GST is charged at the applicable rate on the invoice.
Payments
What are your payment terms?
100% advance before dispatch. We share the invoice, and once the full payment is received, we ship the goods.
What payment methods do you accept?
NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and UPI are all accepted. Account details are shared on the invoice.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you supply?
We ship pan-India and also export to international buyers. Within India, we regularly supply retailers and boutiques across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jaipur, and Pune.
Internationally, we’ve shipped to retailers in the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, and Singapore.
How long does delivery take?
Ready-stock orders dispatch within 2–4 working days of payment confirmation. Domestic delivery typically takes 3–7 days depending on location. International shipments take 7–14 working days via courier.
Who bears the shipping cost?
Shipping is billed at actuals on the invoice. We use trusted courier partners and share tracking details on dispatch.
Customisation & Bulk
Can I get custom colours or designs made?
Yes — since we weave in-house in Banaras, we welcome custom colour and motif requests from our retailers. Custom orders start at a higher MOQ (typically 30+ pieces per design) with a 4–6 week lead time depending on complexity.
Can I private-label the products?
Private labelling is available on bulk custom orders. Speak to us about tag, packaging, and branding requirements.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns policy?
Because our collection involves hand labour and handmade processes, minor variations in weave, colour, and finish are part of the craft’s character and are not considered defects.
That said, if you receive a genuinely damaged or incorrect piece, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. We’ll arrange a replacement or credit note.
Do you accept returns of unsold stock?
We don’t accept sale-or-return arrangements. All orders are final sale.
Product Care & Fabric
How should Kora Banaras fabrics be cared for?
Dry-clean only is our standard recommendation across organza, tussar, chanderi, and Banarasi silk. Store folded in a cotton or muslin cover, away from direct sunlight. Refold every few months to avoid permanent crease lines along the zari.
Are your products handloom or powerloom?
Our collection includes both handloom and powerloom pieces, depending on the design and fabric. We clearly differentiate between the two and always tell our retailers which category a product belongs to — so you know exactly what you’re buying and can price it accordingly for your own customers.
Do you provide fabric authenticity certification?
We can provide a Silk Mark / Handloom Mark certification on request for applicable products, especially for international shipments.
